LD Global Strategies LLC was founded in 2020, to help mission-driven clients advance a better world. We offer tailored packages including strategic planning, program development and resource mobilization, policy advocacy, government engagement, project management, leadership coaching, and navigating transitions and crises. Liz Drew, Principal

About Liz

Liz Drew is a Chicago-based strategist with nearly two decades’ leadership experience in government and non-profits advancing human rights and gender equity, and social justice. From Colombia to Iraq to Uganda, Liz has partnered with civil society organizations, activists, governments and companies at the forefront of social change to deepen and sustain collective impact at scale. Before launching her own practice, Liz oversaw global programs for Heartland Alliance International, leading program growth and organizational transformation in Sub-Saharan Africa, the Middle East, and Latin America. Throughout her career, Liz has built, mentored, and led inclusive multidisciplinary teams to achieve significant and lasting programming and policy outcomes.

Liz served in the Obama administration as an adviser in State Department’s Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration, where she successfully developed and launched new multimillion dollar global initiatives to prevent and respond to gender-based violence in humanitarian emergencies. Liz was the first Director for Human Rights and Gender at the White House National Security Council, leading the implementation of a landmark Presidential directive advancing the rights of LGBTQ persons worldwide. Liz was awarded the State Department’s Superior Honor Award for her work advancing gender equity across national security policy.
